WH-Week II

The Second Wave of Civilizations in World History came to change future civilizations,  earlier civilizations took care of the agricultural advantages.  Second civilizations had different views, the were working towards building greater, bigger, and powerful civilizations; or in the case of many nations they had empires.  As massive and powerful as some of these empires were, they also had they weakness.  The Persian Empire had colossal numbers of people under their empire,   35-50 million people, an empire of Indo-European people that stretched their conquest from India to Egypt. As well as the Persian Empire, the Greek, the Roman, and Chinese, it was unavoidable not to fall, a few dynasties lasted for a few centuries before they collapsed.

While reading WW, I was in shocked.  After taking a few history classes in community colleges, I though of history being repetitive, like going in circle.  After reading the prologue, I started to think about how we came to exist.  At the same time it is a bit depressing because we are using a lot of our natural resources, sadly we some habitats have been in danger of extinction because we have been wasteful.  In part one -First Things First- states that we have overusing our resources.  It also shows that thousands of years ago, earlier civilizations had different use of their natural resources.  In the Americas and some countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa, were agricultural societies.
